Founded in 1989, SAB Homes has proudly served the greater Kansas City area with some of the finest homes at a reasonable value.  One of our central goals is to provide you, the home owner, a positive home building experience.

Since 1989, SAB Homes has been building beautiful, distinctive, single-family and multi-family homes with long-lasting value and style. Building homes is a very personal experience, not to be taken lightly. Through the leadership of Scott Bamesberger, our team works to provide the best experience possible for all of our buyers. Each project is updated daily by our field superintendents, providing our homebuyers and subcontractors the absolute latest information on the progress of every home. What I do:  I'm a superintendent for SAB Homes.  I oversee my jobs from start to finish, making sure everything is perfect for our new home owner. Background:  I started out in commercial construction over 25 years ago as a greenhorn and after just a couple years had already worked my way up to becoming a site superintendent.  From the beginning I've enjoyed being a superintendent.  I’ve built big structures all over the United States.  Everything from high rise buildings and  grocery stores, to restaurants and gas stations, to apartments and CVS Pharmacy stores.  I switched over to residential construction this year to spend more time at home with my family and friends. What I like most about building new homes:  I love my home and know the hard work it takes to make it a home and something for everyone to enjoy.  I take that same passion and work ethic with me when building someone else’s home, which is building it as if it were my own.  The look on their face says it all when they see their completed home.  Handing them the keys to something that important that they’ve been waiting for is a huge reward. When I am not working:  I enjoy going to KC sporting events - Go Chiefs, Go Royals!  Spending time with my son, going to BBQs and other events, traveling, and family gatherings at the lake.  I'm always thinking of things to build for people, even if it's furniture like coffee tables, kitchen tables, and end tables. If I could eat one item for every meal for the rest of my life it would be?:  Definitely my mom's fried chicken!

What I do:  I oversee the building of new homes including scheduling of material delivery and the different trades. Background:  I've been building new homes for 30 years, just recently relocated to the KC area from Colorado and was please and found an employment opportunity at SAB Homes. What I like most about building homes:  The sense of accomplishment at the end of each day, you can visually see the progress you have made. My favorite SAB home:  The Charleston.  I love the big windows in the family/living room and the way the master bedroom is elevated. When I'm not working:  My favorite thing to do is spend time with my grandkids, preferably fishing.  They are the reason I relocated to Missouri. What's one item you want to own that you don't?:  Definitely a bass boat.

What I do:  My job at SAB Homes as a superintendent is to manage every aspect of the home building process from start to finish in the field. Background:  For well over a decade I have been working managing projects in the construction industry. What I like most about building new homes:  I love the building process and making sure we have the best possible end result.  One of my greatest strengths is my attention to detail.  I particularly enjoy putting the final touches on each project.  The joy on our clients’ faces when they walk into their new home gives me a sense of accomplishment.  At SAB Homes, we absolutely build our homes with pride. When I'm not working:  I love to travel and so far I have visited all but three of the fifty United States and many unique overseas destinations.  I am an avid outdoorsman and conservationists spending an abundance of time outdoors camping, scouting, hunting and fishing in all seasons along with my wife and three children.

What I do:  I oversee the building process at our homes.  This includes scheduling contractors and deliveries.  The end goal is to deliver an amazing product for the homeowner. Background:  I started as a trim carpenter, which developed into running my own business.  We focused on higher end homes, which helped me develop a great eye for detail. What I like most about building new homes:  It would have to be the trim stage.  A new home really changes after the trim and cabinets are installed. Interests:  I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 boys.  I enjoy playing golf with my youngest son, who thinks he is the next Tiger Woods.

What I do:  Here at SAB Homes I oversee the building process from scheduling contractors, to making sure each job is done the correct way. Background:  I have a knowledgeable background from building homes for the last decade. Too managing rentals properties and doing some flip homes as well. What I like most about building new homes:  The process, being able to start a project and for months watch what was just dirt turn into someone's dream home. When I am not working:  I'm usually at my farm enjoying the outdoors.  I'm an avid whitetail hunter, and with that comes a lot of off season work.  Meaning prepping for food plots and hanging new deer stands. What's the top destination on your must-visit list?:  I would have to say Alaska so therefore, I can see the northern lights!

What I do:  My duties consist of coordinating, implementing, and following through of all special projects presented.  I also assist all field superintendents on their assigned communities and homes. Background:  I have a very diverse background, mostly in operations management in various industries that include warehouse operations, parts and service director, branch management in commercial kitchen equipment, technical service operations and management. What do I do when you I am not working:  I am an avid motorcycle and auto racing enthusiast, being a former Motocross Racer back in my early youth.  I also love to spend time with my family and have great enjoyment playing a roll in my grand kid's lives.

What I do:  My position is working in the field taking care of homeowners during the 3 and 11 month warranty visits.  I repair drywall, paint, and do some carpentry.  I take pride in all of my work and it is important for me to do my best on every warranty appointment.  I ensure every homeowner is pleased before I end my day.  Additionally, before any house closings, I make sure to walk through the whole house and look for any kind of issues that need repaired before closing date. Background:  I consider myself to be an active person and have always enjoyed working with my hands.  My background in construction starts in 2008.  I worked for a house remodeling company for 6 years learning everything I know today.  Soon I became interested in new home construction and that is when I landed at SAB Homes. What do you like the most about building new homes?:  I enjoy seeing the houses being built from the start to finish.  It is amazing to me how each house is built, starting with the foundation being poured, to the final home inspection before the homeowner takes possession.  It is a fun process to see regularly. Name something you wish buyers knew about home building:  If I could give advice for buyers it would be that if they ever do paint touch up themselves, the main walls are in a flat paint finish and bathroom walls are painted with an eggshell finish.

What I do:  My job consists in helping the Superintendent.  I oversee every day tasks anywhere from labor to scheduling.
Background:  I'm Hispanic therefore I'm fluent in both Spanish and English.  At the end of the day I like to go home and spend time with my wife, kids and dogs.  It is important for me to help you on anything that is needed to complete your dream home.

What I do:  I am the Final Cleaning Supervisor. I am responsible for taking great pride in making sure our homes are turn key ready for our new homes, spec homes, and parade ready for the Parade of homes. Background:  Prior to joining the SAB team I owned and operated a construction cleaning company in Arkansas/Missouri area for 4 years. When I am not working:  My children and I are very active. We love all things outdoors and travel. I also enjoy making custom tumblers and photography in my spare time.

Background:  I began my professional career by studying business administration at the AIB College of Business in Des Moines, Iowa.  Since then I have amassed over 24 years of experience in new home construction as well as over 19 years of experience in sales and marketing as a senior level associate in the KC Metro area.  I am a licensed Realtor in Missouri and hold a Green Building designation from the NAR, as well as a Certified Sales Professional designation from the NAHB.  I have worked at SAB Homes for over 14 years. What do you like the most about building new homes?  Buying a home is a huge step in life for a family.  I love the ability to make the process personal, to truly make that home everything that family has ever imagined.  One of the biggest rewards of my career is that everyday I get to make a house, a home. What is your proudest accomplishment?  Raising my beautiful two daughters, both of which are currently attending college—Sydney at the University of Arkansas and Samantha at Truman State University. Are you a cat person or a dog person and why?  As the proud owner of the resident office dog Arlo, I am a dog person to the core.  Arlo is certainly spoiled by the office staff and myself.  Be sure to say hello when you stop by!

What I do:  That is a hard question, because I wear a lot of hats.  In addition to providing the analytic & reporting support regarding the company’s finances, processes & operations, I also oversee & manage all the company’s assets, communications, technologies, & IT infrastructure. Background:  I attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City where I received my bachelor degree in Business Administration.  Since graduating, I have accrued more than 16 years of experience in complex financial & data analysis and business operations.  This includes 10 years at a Fortune 100 company developing pricing & negotiating contracts with their largest customers. When I am not working:  I am a devoted horse owner with 2 quarter horses that I ride & compete.  There aren’t many places I’d rather be than enjoying some time on horseback with friends. What is one thing you will never do again:  It would absolutely be singing at a karaoke bar.  There are those people that you see & think “wow – I can’t believe how good they are.”  I’m the opposite of that.

What I do: I send out all purchase orders for all jobs, permitting, estimating for labor and material take offs, cost comparisons, expanding sub-contractor and vendor database, Background: Graduated from UCM in 2011 with a bachelors of science with major in safety management and minor in construction management. As a kid in high school I worked for a foundation company and rough carpentry crew, through college I worked for a commercial general contractor estimating and project managing. ​What do you like the most about building new homes? For build jobs I think it is interesting how home owners include different aspects in their homes such as a kegerator in the bar or go all out for appliances or energy efficiency. Another interesting aspect is how everybody has a different opinion on how things should be done, neither wrong or right there are multiple ways to skin a cat.​ Name something you wish buyers knew about home building? The more info we have on the front end, the smoother your building process will go, pictures, examples, etc. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life? Adam Sandler What do you do when you are not working​? R&R – I wish, work on my own house, hunt, fish, or play golf.

​What I do:  I oversee field operations by working with construction superintendents to achieve a quality-built home done on time, while using safe work practices.  When superintendents are on vacation or sick I cover their jobs.  I walk each of our homes frequently to help achieve our goals of quality, efficiency, and safety.  I work with construction trades to build a strong team of subcontractors to work on our homes.  Along with this I work with them to follow construction best practices and safety guidelines.  I meet with homeowner at times when we have special projects, and field design or problem solving projects. Background:  I grew up working with my dad (Colin Cox) in his knife making workshop where I developed a love for craftsmanship.  I served a 2 year mission for my church in Mexico where I became fluent in Spanish which is a valuable skill in my profession. Graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University – Idaho.  I worked in different construction trades throughout school and have continued with home building until the present day. What I like the most about building new homes:  The thing I like the most about building a new home is being able to start with a design beginning with the structural stage and carry it through until finished product.  It is a very exciting process to see how each stage, even though it may be simple on its own, can creates a masterpiece when done right and with the proper vision of quality and craftsmanship. ​When I am not working:  I spend most of my free time with my kids, either running them around to practice or going to games.  We are involved in soccer, and, dance.  We are also very active in serving in our Church.  Over the years my wife and I have served in many different callings which have been a huge blessing in our lives.  We love serving others and teaching our kids the importance of serving God and other.  When I have a chance to spend personal time I like to exercise, make custom knives, work on carpentry hobbies, play basketball, go to the shooting range, and on occasion lounge in my basement and watch movies in our theatre room.  I love sports, camping, fishing, hunting, and learning about survival. If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have?:  If I were a super hero I would have the power of persuasion.

What I do:  I work SAB customers to pick out all the selections and finishes for their new home.  I communicate with multiple vendors in order to get the look that our customers are wanting.  When drawings are needed to communicate ideas to our installers, I provide those as well.  When I’m not working with our customers, I order products that go into our homes, and design our spec and model homes.  During the spring and fall parades I decorate and furnish our models and do the fun “pretty” stuff to make our homes sparkle! Background:  I knew I wanted to be an interior designer from the day I was born...pretty much.  When I was a kid I would ask for new paint to repaint my bedroom, new bedding for Christmas, and subscribed to Architectural Digest by the time I was in Junior High.  I constantly was re-drawing plans for my parents house and giving advice to others.  I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design and a Masters in Art Education from the University of Central Missouri.  I started out designing custom furniture and it turned into one residential project after another, which led me to SAB. What do you like the most about building new homes?  The entire process of designing a home.  I love being able to take what is in my mind, put it on paper, and see it come to life. What is your favorite SAB Homes floor plan and why?  The Manitoba.  I could see myself entertaining lots of people in the big open kitchen and great room area. What do you wish buyers knew about home building?  When a buyer finds something they love, they should stick with it.  Between Pinterest and Houzz these days, it’s easy to be led astray with numerous ideas...and let’s be honest...at the end of the day we can’t have everything. It has to make sense. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?  Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock.  They both are confident, strong women, who could take on the world :) What do you do when you are not working?  I love to travel, work on my own home, listen to live music, go to Royals games, shopping, and spending time with friends and family.

What I do:  I joined the team as a Administrative Assistant and have moved over to assisting with organizing and scheduling the warranty requests.  I get to communicate with new homeowners and vendors quite a bit.  I also enjoy assisting other team members as needed.  I get to dabble in different aspects of company! Background:  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration but worked in the operations aspect of Healthcare for 11 years prior to joining the SAB Team.  I have always enjoyed the customer service aspect of a business and love to come across a problem and provide a solution.  I love watching the construction process take place. What is your favorite SAB Homes floor plan and why?  I am constantly changing my mind on this.  Right now I love the Manitoba.  I would add a front porch to it though! What is your proudest accomplishment?  During one crazy year, I had my 2nd daughter, started working full-time again after maternity leave, graduated college with my bachelor’s degree and we sold and bought a house.  I remember feeling like wonder women! Do you collect anything?  I collect candles.  I love scents and light a candle as soon as I get home every day.  Helps me relax and unwind. What’s your favorite movie?  I enjoy many movies but when I think of a favorite - Gone with the Wind immediately pops into my head.  I remember watching it in the theater with my family and sitting through the whole thing.

What I do:  I do a lot of various tasks to support the design team, order plumbing and estimate and order flooring.  I like to keep busy and love learning new things in different areas of the company. Background:  Before starting working for SAB in 2019 my entire career has been in the culinary trade, the majority of it in corporate dining and catering management. This has given me great customer service, organization, and multi-tasking skills. What I like most about building new homes:  I love to see the all the different designs and styles that everyone has and watching homes be created from individual visions. When I'm Not Working:  When I’m not working you’ll probably find me in one of my gardens, I LOVE to garden and be outside watching nature. What fictional place would you most like to visit?:  J.R.R. Tolkien’s Rivendell, it would be so peaceful and magical.

Background:  I have over 25 years of accounts receivable experience in the medical and legal fields before coming to SAB Homes. When I am not working:  I fanatically watch the Royals and Chiefs, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and our two dogs. What I do:  I am a designer within the wonderful design studio here at SAB.  I work with clients, the design team, and various vendors in selection, procurement, and implementation of design finishes and interiors.  Design, just like all things starting within one’s imagination and brought into reality, takes 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.  I enjoy every stage of the process and time flies while staying very busy doing so! Background:  Some of my very first memories where of creative endeavors and awareness of my surroundings.  Interior design later became an arena for both.  When I was 5 years old, I remember begging my mom to get new drapery panels in living room.  Followed up with a painted picture of new panels done with my acrylic paint set…. yes acrylic…no tempera paint for that little girl! LOL.  It was no surprise, and very natural, for me to follow design after High School.  I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Park University and started out interning with an architecture firm downtown doing commercial design work.  It was very exciting to work on such large high-profile projects but was missing that personal touch I get in working directly with the end user to create a space.  The switch to residential design quickly filled that missing piece of the design puzzle.  Along the way I have refined my craft and knowledge.  This knowledge and creative zest are what I feel my clients enjoy the most about working with me. What I like most about building new homes:  I love creating beautiful and functional interiors with different people/styles and watching everything come to life!  It is a very fulfilling to see the end product and having been an integral part of it.   It also never ceases to amaze me how different of spaces you can get just by mixing personal style and the elements of design.  The possibilities are endless, and no project is alike. When I am not working:  When I’m not working, raising my awesome son, or adulting - I like to fill my bucket with creative projects in paint, mixed media, and culinary.  A creative expression outlet is a must for me, and currently find it most through “WaLa” cooking.  I love growing my own herbs and select veggies to incorporate into my dishes and using what I have on hand to create one-time dishes.   In my extra spare time, I enjoy painting in oils and acrylic.  I have also been making small pieces of furniture - tables and pet furniture.  I am a total animal lover and feel pets need good design too! What animal would you consider your spirit animal?:  Easy…..Soar with the Eagles!

What I do:  My title is Administrative Assistant and I do just about anything required.  I enjoy speaking with our clients and the team to find ways to help.  I really like to organize and make things easier for the team.  I have been known to clean a family members cabinets or two, just for fun. Background:  I have a lengthy history in administrative and customer service, a jack of all trades.  I am a mother of teenagers so I have to be flexible and prepared for just about anything.  I love when I get to be creative and enjoy cooking and crafting (all kinds). What is your favorite SAB Homes floor plan and why?  I really enjoy the feel of the Brookline.  The great room will really keep a family connected.  The plan also provides personal spaces for the quieter moments.  A house that a family could truly make into a home. Do you collect anything?  I love to collect.  I have been collecting antique kitchen utensils since I was a teenager.  So I have built up quite a collection and they adorn my dining room walls.  I really enjoy kitchen items, green depression glass, 50’s aprons, refrigerator boxes (those glass containers they used prior to Tupperware), and linens.  I could probably go on and on about chairs and rolling pins too.  I need a much larger kitchen. What is your favorite vacation and why?  I love to travel so it is hard to pick one particular vacation, but if I had to choose, it would be Paris.  I use to travel with my mother, I could tell you some stories.  In Paris she came alive.  It was truly memorable to see her with the iconic bag and baguette poking out.  I will continue to travel and see the beauty in all that this world has to offer.

What I do:  I am the front line person at the office of SAB Homes.  If you call or visit I am the first person you'll talk to.  Greeting visitors and answering the phones, I try to assist everyone with whatever they need.  I help out in the office anyway I can.  Updating the home closing schedules, contracts and home inventory reports are just a few things I help with.  I've had many years of customer service and love what I do. Background:  I have an Associates Degree in Commercial Art.  I worked in my field from 1982 to 1991 and then owned and operated a business from 2000 to 2015.  So I definitely understand all the aspects of running a business.  I have one daughter in which I have raised singled handed, being a widow.  She is a law student at UMKC and will graduate with her law degree.  I am so very proud of her! What I like most about building new homes:  Seeing all the creative ways that our customers can make the house their own and make it a home.  Getting to meet and talk with our clients throughout the process.  I really enjoy helping all of the people involved.  Also knowing what satisfaction and happiness there is when our customers finally move in to their new home! When I am not working:  Painting is my one of my sources of relaxation and fills my love to create.  Horses are my forte’ and my passion.  I also run for exercise and well-being of body and mind. Have you ever met anyone famous?:  I had the opportunity to meet Joe Namath back in 1980 when I was 17 years old at a L’Oréal hair convention for cosmetologists.  He was there promoting L’Oréal.   He was a very big guy and his entire hand literally covered my entire shoulder!  LOL

What I do:  I manage work as it is tracked in the Building Management Software so that everyone has the information on each job that they need.  This includes the handling of all change orders.  I also work with the purchasing manager to keep purchase orders for material and labor rolling out the door. Background:  Most recently came from running my own consulting services business providing QuickBooks and general small business IT consulting.  Prior to that, I spent many years working IT for Sprint. Something I wish new home buyers knew about home building:  There are many things that need to be coordinated to complete the build so be prepared for bumps in the road – and enjoy the ride! When I am not working:  Anything I can do outside – especially out on the water.  I like to cook/grill, spend time with family & friends. What is your most hated household chore?:  Keeping the kitchen tidy - - especially doing dishes - - Ugh!!  Thank God for dishwashers!!

Title: Office dog Background: Ranger has been with SAB since he was a puppy serving as one of the resident “office dogs” and honorary hospitality door greeter.  He never leaves Brian’s office, but when he has managed to get past the dog gate, he immediately runs to steal some of Arlo’s toys and parade around the office with them whimpering with excitement until being wrangled back into Brian’s office.  Normally he just greets everyone that enters the lobby with a smile and wagging tail from behind the gate in Brian’s office.  He LIVES for the attention and visitors usually leave with a smile as big as his.  His biggest accomplishment with the company includes making friends with every visitor that enters the lobby and the one time he barked to warn and save the office staff from the person that wore a blow-up dinosaur Halloween costume to work.

Title: Office dog Background: Arlo has been with SAB for years and serves as one of the resident “office dogs”.  His biggest accomplishment with the company includes swindling as much food as possible from employees during the Holiday Party and any other party for that matter.  Arlo collects toys that are on display throughout the office.  His two biggest pet peeves are when Raelynn is talking on the phone when he is trying to nap and when he is not allowed to attend office meetings.  You can always count on Arlo to welcome you into SAB with a lick or bark.

SAB Homes is an outstanding builder with exceptional after-the-sale service! They totally stand behind their product, and provided superior workmanship for a handful of warranty claims we had on our new home. When I say “warranty claims”, I’m talking about some things our moving company damaged, like imperfections on walls, wood trim and thresholds, and EVERYTHING was repaired! For the few warranty claims related to HVAC, plumbing, etc., SAB dispatched the appropriate sub-contractor immediately, and everything was resolved to our satisfaction. It’s obvious to us, that the owner (Scott) is involved in all facets of the build, the sale and the follow-up actions related to customer concerns and warranty claims. When Scott showed up at our closing to personally thank us for the purchase, our realtor was totally surprised, and told us he’s never seen the owner of a major builder show up at a closing. We didn’t think too much about it, until we submitted our 3-month warranty claim and heard Scott on the phone, making sure the smallest of items was discussed, properly addressed, and scheduled.
